PLAN YOUR LIFE HERE AND FOR THE HEREAFTER.
What happens if you´re gone?
Love! Love is everything. But it requires sacrifice.

Bhai Sahib Mohinder SINGH, at age 70, Chairman of GNNSJ, Sikh, Birmingham, England

Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh dedicates his life not only to his family - he has two daughters and a grand daughter - but especially lives and works for the wellbeing of others. Bhai Sahib Ji did his post doctoral research on the UN, religions and civil society.

After having resigned from his 27 year long work as a civil and housing engineer, he became engaged in working for the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha - a religious charitable organisation - in Birmingham. There he serves aproximately 16 to 17 hours daily. When inquired how such long hours can be realistic, he said, he only needs 2-3 hours sleep daily.

The humble but very active Sikh faith leader and Chairman of GNNSJ has had extensive experience in the fields of housing, town planning, roads, water supply, sanitation and conservation work and also in faith propagation, charity work, education and research.

The Chairman of the Sikh Birmingham Center not only helps the people in need - for example 25.000 meals are provided for free each work at the Center - he also was responsible for the goldgilding around the famous Golden Temple in Amritsar, India. Under Bhai Sahib Ji’s stewardship, GNNSJ has expanded its charitable work in the UK and abroad.

Interfaith is yet another area that is important to him. He serves on the University of Birmingham Community Advisory Board, is Patron of the United Religions Initiative, and member of the European Council of Religious Leaders (World Council of Religions for Peace). He is also a supporter of the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions (CPWR), Globalisation for the Common Good, and a senior member of the Elijah Interfaith Foundation. He has a PhD Honoris Causia from the University of Central England for service to the community and an honorary doctorate from the University of Birmingham for support of work in education, faith and divinity.

To pledge for a mutual understanding, global harmony and peace, he continues to travel to attend conferences and meetings around the globe.

The Chairman of GNNSJ, who was chosen by the founder Saints of this organization in recognition of his many unique qualities and inner spiritual strength says:
"Faith gives you values. Try to live up to them.
Love! Everyone is responsible for love. Love is everything.
Be able to write your own obituary."
