Simon Xavier GUERRAND-HERMES,at age 69, Christian, living in Marrakesh and Paris
Simon Xavier Guerrand-Hermès was born in Nime, France. He is a believing Protestant Christian. Having no wife or kids, his major goal is to work for the wellbeing of the world. He has studied at Harvard where he received his MTS (Master of Theological Studies). For many years he had been teaching with the aim to educate people in a wholesome way. In 1997 he established the „Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace“ (GHFP) of which he is Founder and Chairman. The foundations mission is to promote the development of qualities that are needed for ensuring peace and a sustainable human future.
Like this it sought and funded diverse projects in the areas of education and youth, inter-religious dialogues and community development.
The GHFP works as a think-tank to investigate key areas of human interest. Through this process, the foundation gains an understanding of the dynamics of relevant topical issues, and therefore is able to arrange meetings where challenging questions can be posed in an environment that is conducive to change and transformation.
Key areas of concern are:
• Promoting inter-religious understanding through dialogue, and the deepening of individual religious and spiritual experience
• Providing education and experiences that develop the full potential and talents of each individual as a whole person
• Seeking innovative solutions to address the problems of poverty and injustice, and the need for sustainable development and transformation
